Lord Avebury

London SWIA OAA
10th December 1999
Dear Lord Avebury,
Your letter dated 7th December
gives great hope to all those fighting for a philosophical
balance in Great Britain. You sure hit the nail on the head
when you say, "It isn't only religious education that should
be examined critically".
In the 1980's I made a determined
effort to find a rational scientific explanation to explain
why our ignorant ancestors invented all these dangerous and
divisive religions in the first place. What has been uncovered
not only put the fear of Christ up the religionists, it forced
powerful pseudo-scientists to join forces with the priests
in a desperate effort to censor all uncomfortable discoveries
in subatomic physics. The most dramatic consequence of this
was when Professor Stephen Hawking actually went to Rome to
see the Pope!
You will see from the enclosed
letter from Professor Abdus Salam - the 1979 Nobel Laureate
for Physics - that he was excommunicated from Islam by the
priests in Pakistan. People think the Holy Inquisition finished
in the 17th century with the persecution of Galileo. Nothing
could be further from the truth, Ronald Pearson is getting
the same treatment from the British establishment as Professor
Salam received in Pakistan.
Yours sincerely
Michael Roll
